You’ve shipped front-ends you were proud of, and sat through the reviews where the details quietly got sanded off. Here, the details are the job. We’re hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to build interfaces that stay performant, accessible and pixel-faithful: motion that feels right, layouts that never break, and code the next engineer can actually read.

Because Externo is a service-based consulting company, you won’t polish one product forever. You’ll build front-ends across many clients and industries, from a data-heavy dashboard one quarter to an AI copilot the next. You set the front-end bar for the work and you’re trusted to make the call. There are no layers of approval to engineer around here.

What you’ll do

  • Build production interfaces in modern JS frameworks, end to end.
  • Turn designs into accessible, responsive components that hold up on every screen.
  • Own performance, from bundle size to runtime, and keep it fast as the product grows.
  • Collaborate closely with designers on the interaction detail that makes a UI feel right.
  • Raise the bar on front-end quality, tooling and the systems the whole team builds on.
  • Ship directly for clients across industries, and fold their feedback in without losing the plot.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years building production front-ends.
  • Deep JavaScript / TypeScript and CSS expertise, not just framework familiarity.
  • A strong sense for accessibility and performance, baked in from the start.
  • Experience with a modern framework (React, Next.js, Vue, or similar).
  • Care for clean, maintainable code the next engineer can actually read.
  • You stay calm switching between industries, briefs and clients.

Nice to have

  • Experience with animation libraries (GSAP, Framer Motion).
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
  • Interest in AI-driven and LLM-powered UIs.
