Making expertise legible

Unisonic Systems is a professional audio, video and lighting systems integration and consultation firm, delivering turnkey AV solutions across worship spaces, auditoriums, studios, corporate facilities, educational institutions and commercial venues.

Their work spans requirement analysis, system engineering, acoustic treatment, installation, calibration, commissioning and ongoing technical support — a highly technical, engineering-led service offering that was difficult for prospective clients to evaluate and compare before ever speaking to the team.

We support them across their digital and marketing presence, beginning with their website at unisonicsystems.com, where we structured and wrote the service portfolio so each discipline is presented clearly, in the language a venue owner, facilities head or project consultant actually uses when scoping a project.

Making an engineering-first company legible to the people commissioning the work — without diluting the technical credibility that wins them the projects in the first place.

02

A translation problem

Unisonic’s challenge was one of translation. The depth of their engineering is exactly what wins them projects, but it is also what makes the service hard to evaluate from the outside — a prospective client cannot easily compare turnkey AV firms when the offering is described in engineering terms they don’t share.

The people commissioning this work are venue owners, facilities heads and project consultants. They know what outcome they need, but not necessarily the technical vocabulary the discipline uses to describe how it is delivered.

The task was to bridge that gap without dumbing anything down: to present a genuinely technical service in language the buyer understands, while preserving the credibility that the technical detail signals.

03

The buyer's language

We restructured and rewrote the service portfolio around the buyer. Each discipline — audio system design, video infrastructure, lighting and control, acoustic assessment and post-installation support — is presented clearly and in the language a venue owner or project consultant actually uses when scoping a job.

Alongside the website, we handle Unisonic’s broader marketing and online service communication, keeping the positioning consistent across channels so the company reads the same way wherever a prospective client encounters it.

A few principles kept the work honest:

  • Service portfolio structured around the buyer, not the engineer
  • Each discipline presented clearly and distinctly
  • Copy written in the language clients use to scope projects
  • Technical credibility preserved, never diluted
  • Marketing and communication handled beyond the website
  • Consistent positioning across every channel
04

Clear and credible

The result is a presence that makes an engineering-first company legible to the people who commission its work. The website lays out each discipline in terms a facilities head or consultant can evaluate, and the broader marketing keeps that positioning consistent everywhere.

Crucially, the clarity does not come at the expense of authority. The technical depth is still visible — it is simply framed so the buyer can understand what they are getting and why it matters.

What we delivered, across their presence:

  • A restructured, clearly written service portfolio
  • Each AV discipline presented in buyer-friendly language
  • A website (unisonicsystems.com) built to be evaluated
  • Ongoing marketing and online service communication
  • Consistent positioning across channels
  • Technical credibility kept intact throughout
05

What the work changed

Prospective clients can now understand and compare Unisonic’s offering before they ever speak to the team — which is precisely where the evaluation used to stall. The engineering-led service is no longer a barrier to being chosen.

For the firm, the effect is a presence that works as hard as the engineering does:

  • A technical service made legible to non-technical buyers
  • Each discipline evaluable before first contact
  • Positioning kept consistent across every channel
  • Credibility maintained rather than diluted
  • Marketing aligned with how clients actually scope work
  • An engineering-first company that reads clearly online
06

Legible, not diluted

Unisonic Systems proves that clarity and technical credibility are not a trade-off. By presenting each discipline in the buyer’s language, the work makes the firm easy to evaluate without making it look any less expert.

The website and the wider marketing pull in the same direction, so the positioning holds wherever a client meets the brand.

The intent throughout has been to make an engineering-first company legible to the people commissioning the work — and to do it without touching the technical credibility that wins the projects in the first place.

Testimonials

Don't take our word for it - take theirs

Our work is deeply technical, and that used to make it hard for clients to evaluate us before they'd even spoken to the team. Externo restructured how we present each discipline in the language our clients actually use. It made us legible without making us look less serious about the engineering.
